"Original experience occurs in the cells and fluids of the body and is then recorded and stored in the nervous system"

Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen

Informed by both academic knowledge, land-based integrative body-mind modalities and aquatic bodywork, each session in the water adapts uniquely to the client’s needs, incorporating supported floating and movement or gentle immersion, to release stress, anxiety and trauma, and to promote well-being.

Water therapy can support in dealing with different difficulties such as burnout, restlessness, sleeping difficulties, physical and emotional pain, cultivating resilience and the ability to self-regulate, and also allows you moments to relax and enjoy life.

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

"The Peace of Wild Things" / Wendell Berry

What to expect?
Water therapy session is conducted on a one-on-one basis, tailored to the individual patient, in a private pool heated to 35 degrees Celsius (body temperature). The first meeting is an intake meeting in which we will get to know each other and the aquatic environment, if needed we will have a second intake meeting. Upon arrival and readiness to enter the pool, we will meet in the water and commence the session with a conversation to ensure it aligns with your specific needs. The session will last approximately one hour, after which you will have time for transitioning back to land, a total time slot of 1.5 hours.
